Capturing Coexistence Through Photojournalism

Overview: Through photography, students will examine coexistence: What is it? Where is it in the community? What strategies do humans use to live together peacefully? Collection: Crash Test World

Azeri Kitchen

Overview: Students use their five senses to describe different food samples representing some of the food found in Azerbaijan. Students create a product pamphlet using creative, descriptive vocabulary, which explains some Azeri cuisine. Collection: Destinations

 

 

Landmarks

Overview: Students differentiate between natural and man-made landmarks. Students investigate landmarks in their community, state, and country to create a visitor’s brochure sharing information about their chosen landmark. Collection: Destinations

 

 

The Sounds of Sega

Overview: Students explore the historical and cultural aspects of Sega music. Students make a maravanne and try playing it, as well as listen to (and dance to) selections from Sega music. Collection: Destinations

 

 

What is a refugee?

Overview: students experience the voice and perspective of a Syrian refugee through the examination of a primary source. Students create a piece of art based on that primary source. Collection: Crash Test World
