Overview: The sharing of human stories and history is essential in the building of empathy and understanding in a world with so much conflict. After viewing the Crash Test World: Israel episodes, students are invited to share their voice so that connections can be made, differences can be appreciated, and they can have insight into what divides us and unites us as global citizens. Everybody Eats Rice

Overview: About half of the world’s population subsists partially or totally on rice. Students learn that rising global temperatures are posing a threat to the world’s rice supply and then through a Problem-Based Learning approach to address this threat. Collection: Destinations


 

Farm to Table

Overview: Students identify geographical sources of US grown produce and chart origins on a map. Students calculate and compare the costs of preparing a recipe with locally grown produce vs. imported produce from a big-box grocery store. Collection: Destinations

Overview: Students examine food scarcity on macro (global) and micro (local) levels. Collection: Crash Test World
