A parish is a subdivision, or section, of a church.

Each parish is a different community and each division has its own priest. Depending on the size of the parish, it could have more than one priest or chapel.

The Church of England has hundreds of parishes representing many communities.

People who live in the parish may be married, baptized, or buried at the church in that parish.
