Comedy |
|
A comedy is a funny play or literary work. Comedy began in ancient Greece at the Festivals of Dionysus. These play festivals were separated into comedies and tragedies. Comedies end with weddings and tragedies end with funerals. Shakespearean comedies usually involve some confusion or misunderstanding, such as a mix-up of twins. Some of his most well known comedies are A Midsummer Night's Dream, Taming of the Shrew, and Twelfth Night .
