Apprentices

In Shakespeare's time, many young men became apprentices when they left school.

Apprentices worked with a master to learn a trade, art, or business. They would put in the work to learn while receiving instruction from a more experienced individual to become a glove-maker, blacksmith, copper, printer, or another type of craftsman.

Today, some young people get job training by becoming an intern. Unlike apprentices, interns work for about a year, or less.
