Cape Town is located on the Atlantic Ocean at south-western tip of South Africa.

Cape Town was settled by the Dutch in the mid-17th century. Ships would stop here to get supplies on journeys between Europe and India. For this reason, many of the buildings by the waterfront have architecture similiar to that found in the Netherlands.
