Tea Time
Day 21
Today, we had a tea party at the Shakespeare Hotel. The hotel had lots of little parlor rooms for guests to have a cup of tea or something to eat.
Before our tea party, I visited the Bramah Tea Museum to learn all about the history of tea. The owner of the Tea Museum is Edward Bramah. He taught me how to make a proper cup of tea. I was excited to share what I learned with the rest of the ProjectExplorer team. At the Shakespeare Hotel, we found a small sofa right in front of a window. This was a perfect spot for our afternoon tea lesson. Tea is usually served at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. That is because tea has caffeine and it gives people energy at the end of the day. We had Earl Grey tea with milk and sugar. At tea time it is traditional to share snacks. We had finger sandwiches, scones with jam, and other delicious sweets. Before we treated ourselves to tea and snacks, I showed Jackie how to serve tea the English way. Don't worry, we shared with Christopher and Jenny. Fancy a cup of tea,
