The subway in London is called the Underground. Sometimes people call it the Tube, because the tunnels are shaped like giant tubes.

The Tube was the first underground railway in the world. Construction began in 1863.

In one year, the Tube has more 970 million riders. The busiest station during the morning rush hour is Waterloo Station.

It is a quick and easy way to get around London.
