Apprentices

Apprentices are workers that are in training for a job.

Apprentices were usually between 14 and 21 years old. They would live with the master craftsman that was teaching them. An apprentice’s job was about 7 years long. After that, they would become professionals in their line of work.

Today, some young people get job training by becoming an intern. Unlike apprentices, interns work for about a year, or less.
