Legionaries
legionary illustration

Legionaries were soldiers in the Roman army during the time of the Roman Empire.

Soldiers enlisted for 25 years of service. Legionaries usually trained for 8 hours a day. All that practice paid off. In battle, enemies often found themselves poorly prepared to face the strength of legionaries.

A legionary used a good deal of armor and weapons: they wore a helmet, armored chest and shoulder protection, carried a sword, and carried a large shield to protect themselves.
