King Abdullah II is Jordan’s current leader. He became king in 1999 when he was 37 years old.

As king, he is the head of the Executive Branch. This means he makes all final decisions about Jordan’s policies. This is a tremendous responsibility.

Since becoming king, he has worked to improve Jordan’s economy. He has also focused on improving the education system in his country.

King Abdullah is married to Queen Rania. They have 2 sons, Prince Hussein and Price Hashem, and 2 daughters, Princess Iman and Princess Salma.

King Abdullah has many interests, like sky diving, rally racing, and scuba diving.
