An Arab is a person of Middle Eastern descent.

Arabic is a language associated with Middle Eastern countries. Though many Muslims speak Arabic, and the Qur’an is written in Arabic, the word Arab does not denote a religious affiliation. Christians and Jews of Middle Eastern descent are also Arabs.

Today, there are between 350 and 422 million Arabs in the world. The majority of Arabs live in the Middle East and other Arabic-speaking countries, but there are also over 1 million Arabs living in the United States.
