Objective: This lesson is designed to help students understand Shakespeare's language in Macbeth. This lesson can be used to examine the selected scene in the video or the entire play. Lesson: For this lesson, each student will need a copy of Macbeth, Act I scene 7, or you can use the attached PDF of the speech. Have students begin by reading the speech, then view the video. Have students re-write the speech using contemporary language. Printed copies should be available for reference. Student Assessment: By the end of this lesson you will be able to assess students' understanding of the text and their ability to paraphrase concepts into their own words.
